Dr. Walker was born in Anaheim, California and moved to Raleigh during her high school years. She graduated from Millbrook High School, then University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with degrees in psychology, public health and medicine. Go Heels! She completed her pediatric residency at Children’s Hospital Medical Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. She and her husband Franklin moved back to Raleigh in 2000. Before joining Pediatric Partners in 2008, she practiced at Raleigh Children and Adolescents Medicine for 7 years.
Dr. Walker enjoys working with children of all ages and their families. She loves working with new parents on the challenges and joys a new baby can bring and she enjoys working with adolescents and offering basic gynecological services to teenage girls.
Dr. Walker and her husband Franklin see their gown boys as often as possible. She was a former chief-of-staff at Rex hospital and is involved in her church. In her spare time, she loves to travel – both internationally and to the US National Parks. She also is obsessed with reading, cooking, needlepointing, and her berniedoodle Truvy.
